Nakita Wanza - Visionary and Executive Director

 

Nakita Chante Wanza is a renaissance woman. She loves music, art, poetry, film and the beauty of great story telling. She decided to pursue her life-long purpose her life-long passion of becoming a published author of her first book, "Kita and Her Friends Zip Line Adventures" which was released September 2015. Within less than a year she co-authored her second book, "OOhs, Ahhs, & Uh Ohs of Dating Our Coffeehouse Conversation" with her publisher Katherine White.

 

Nakita decided to venture out of higher education to pursue her passion of motivating, encouraging and inspiring girls who come from Daddyless homes to love themselves and value their self-worth through her non-profit organization, The Ladder House. The  mission of The Ladder House is to educate girls ages 9-12 from Daddyless homes on the traps of having low self-eteem, promiscuity, and the lack of positive male presence in their lives.

Nakita has a Bachelors  of Arts Degree in General Communications and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. Nakita is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc.
